The Hudson River Park: A Floating Park in New York


The Hudson River Park Trust officially announced the start of the construction of a unique project in the New York’s lower West Side, on the place of the damaged Pier 54.

The new pier will be called Pier 55, and the construction of it will include the demolition of Pier 54 that wasn’t used for a long time. All of this greenery will be placed on several hundred strong pillars of different heights, going under the water. On average, the park will rise fifty-six meters above the Hudson River, and it will have a surface of about 2.7 acres
