Temporary Homes for Homeless People in Canada

According to Canadian Homelessness Research Network (CHRN), an organization engaged in researching the problems of homeless people in Canada, in this fairly socially secure country daily remain overnight on the streets thousands of homeless people. Only in Toronto this number is about 30 thousand people.

The designers form the IK Studio, together with CHRN, started a project of installing inexpensive temporary houses for these people in Toronto. In fact, the structure that is called APoC can hardly be called a house. It is rather a temporary capsule of a spherical shape that is easy to transport and that can allow a homeless person to feel secure for at least some time.
