Did you know India has 2 Taj Mahals

We didn’t until we stumbled upon this little brother of the Taj Mahal in Agra, it’s called Bibi Ka Maqbara (“Tomb of the Lady”) built by Prince Azam Shah, the son of the sixth Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, between 1651 and 1661 A.D, in the memory of his mother, Dilras Banu Begum.

Probably not a coincidence that Prince Azam Shah is the grandson of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who built the original Taj Mahal. It’s wonderful to see and a lot more off the beaten track than the touristic, but still wonderful, Taj Mahal of Agra.
