Beautiful Sustainable Paris Project Imagined by Vincent Callebaut
Architect Vincent Callebaut
is developing an original project of eight types of residential
tower-houses that will have to appear in the center of Paris as a part
of a project called 2050 Paris Smart City.
The emissions of harmful substances in the atmosphere is increasing
every year. Vincent Callebaut has developed a draft of eight types of
towers that will accumulate oxygen through greenery that covers the
outer side of the buildings. These structures will be also equipped with

“Skeleton Flowers” Turn Amazingly Transparent in the Rain
The Diphylleia Grayi looks like an ordinary flower, with simple white
petals. But when it rains it transforms into an extraordinary flower, a
skeleton flower that becomes transparant. When in contact with water
the petals are becoming amazingly as clear as glass.
This isn’t an one-time effect, because it doesn’t damage the flower.
When they dry out, the petals return to white! The Diphylleia
Grayi grows on moist, wooded mountainsides in colder regions of Japan,
China and the Appalachian Mountains in the United States during late
spring.
